Zielony Składzik — website
An online shop for a family-run eco store from Gostyń: shopping by the gram, a choice of packaging — paper or a reusable bag — and the price per kilogram under every product. Visual design, illustrations and implementation by KICKASS; logo and colours supplied by the client.
Visit websiteAn eco shop with heart — online too
Zielony Składzik is a family-run eco store from Gostyń that has been selling clean-label delicacies, natural cosmetics, cleaning products and zero-waste accessories since 2019. The owner wanted the online shop to feel as warm and close to people as the brick-and-mortar store — and to let customers shop the way they do at the counter: by weight.
The logo and colours came from the client. We did the rest: the visual and UX/UI design of the shop for desktop and mobile, hand-drawn illustrations, the catalogue structure, the shopping features and the implementation.
You can see straight away what's worth buying
The brand colours — deep green, sage, powder pink and plum — organise the home page: bestsellers, promotions, the shop's story and gift sets. Line illustrations of vegetables, herbs and preserves return in every section, giving the shop a single, recognisable character.
The Promotions category shows only products that are actually on sale, and each one carries a discount badge on its photo. The list never goes out of date and needs no manual upkeep.
By the gram. In paper or in a bag
Customers buy dried fruit, grains, spices and nuts by weight. The price is given per portion, e.g. PLN 4.90 / 100 g, every click of the plus adds another one, and the total appears right under the button: “Selected quantity: 0.30 kg”. A 2 kg limit per item prevents mistakes when typing in the quantity.
For loose products customers choose their own packaging: free paper or a reusable doypack bag for one złoty. The choice is saved in the cart and the order, so the shop packs exactly the way the customer wants — true to the zero-waste philosophy.
A fair price per kilogram
Under every product's price the shop automatically shows the price per kilogram, litre or piece — on the product page and on the tiles in categories. During a promotion it uses the reduced price, so customers compare what they will actually pay.
Products covered by the deposit return scheme have clear information on the product page, and the deposit is added in the cart and shown in the order — no surprises at checkout.
Know what you eat
The product page has Ingredients, Nutrition facts (a table per 100 g) and Serving ideas tabs. They only appear when they have content, so there are no empty sections — and conscious customers find everything they are looking for, on their phone too.
Convenient on mobile and desktop
- The header with the logo stays within reach: it shrinks as you scroll, and on a phone it hides when you scroll down and comes back as soon as you scroll up.
- The cart slides out from the side, without reloading the page.
- A wishlist lets customers save products for later.
- Customers pick a parcel locker on a map with a search box.
- The first images on the home page load with priority, so the shop opens quickly.
